When we find ourselves with our logo on our hands and we want to print it on a t-shirt or on another piece of clothing we often ask ourselves where it is best to position it so that it can stand out better on our shirt. For this reason on Embroidery-gulf.com we decided to give two different options for Printing Your Own Graphic Image: The upper area and the complete area.
Depending on your logo or image, it is advisable to choose the first or second option. Furthermore, the upper area is a more affordable option for large quantities. Which is why it is preferred for large distributions. But now let’s get into detail by showing you some advice based on your logo.
The upper area is more suitable for images that have a rectangular shape, so perfect for what we call wordmark, ie those logos that use only text, often using creative fonts, special characters or signatures. Among the most famous wordmarks we can mention Coca-Cola, Polaroid, Canon or Google. If you want your name to remain on everyone’s mind, it’s a good idea to choose the top area for printing on your shirts.
Symbols and icons: For symbols and icons we recommend using full-area Printing Instead. A symbol in fact can be a perfect way to create a deeper visual link between the public and the brand, since it is received by our brain in a more instinctive way than by a text that must be interpreted. Obviously, if you have a graphically powerful symbol it is advisable to use the complete area to give it maximum visibility on clothing.
Combined trademark, emblem or emblem: In other cases, if your logo is an emblem or a coat of arms, both solutions are recommended. The coat of arms or shield is in fact widely used if placed on the side of the shirt, so the brand is perceived by the public even if more discreet. If otherwise you prefer to opt out more the graphics of your brand the central area is the option for you.
