Stamping methods: embroidery marking

What is embroidered stamping?

Embroidery is an art that consists of ornamentation by means of textile threads on a flexible surface . In addition to the threads, other elements such as sequins, beads, pearls and stones are used that further embellish this art. The threads used are the same as those used for weaving and making fabrics.

The origins of embroidery

It is said that embroidery was born with clothes. Historical evidence shows that ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Hebrew Phoenicians, and Moors used embroidery to decorate their robes . The embroidery represented a sign of wealth, power and splendor. From 1873 to 1938 this trade was industrially processed and important advances were made in machinery. However, the processes were powered manually. The technique has evolved over the years thanks to technology and embroidery machines. Now multiple garments are embroidered at the same time and at an impressive speed per stitch.

 The embroidered stamping process

Digitization of the design : it will allow the embroidery software to indicate to the machine where to embroider the garment and the exact plucking. A design cannot be embroidered from a digital file in bitmap format, but must be converted to a special digital embroidery file. This file indicates the information of the type of stitches, thread color, perforation points and quantity that the machine will need to carry out the embroidery.

This information is very important to know the production costs since depending on the complexity of the design the costs will vary . This digitization process is done only once, thus reducing costs for subsequent jobs. During this process it must be borne in mind that very fine or very small details will hardly be appreciated in the final Embroidery and Tailoring in UAE.

Production : while the digitization process tells the machine how to embroider, the rest of the process is done manually. Before the embroidery machine starts, the rolls of thread of each color must be loaded into their corresponding head . An operator must program the machine correctly by setting parameters such as embroidery speed, color sequence, etc. Garments must be individually hooped to be ready for the embroidery process. Finally, and once the embroidery process is finished, the foreign stitches that have accumulated during it must be eliminated.

Clothing selection: the type of material greatly influences the stitches that the machine must make. A T-shirt, for example, has different stitches than jeans since the fabric is not as heavy. Materials like polyester, wool, fleeces, or cotton have a different stitch configuration .

What are the advantages of embroidered printing?

At Embroidery Gulf we love the logo embroidery technique and therefore we always recommend it to our customers. By marking garments with the logo, we are using a high impact, low cost and durability promotional tool. Some of its advantages are:

Duration of the logo embroidered on the garment: we use high quality threads and it is a type of printing that due to its characteristics is more durable than others such as screen printing. The finish and the touch are very elegant.

Easy to wash : they are made of 100% polyester and resist a washing temperature of 95º (which most garments do not).

Resistance to bleach : they do not fade with a wash at 30º and a maximum of 30 minutes.

Good appearance : the embroidery offers the garment added value and more quality. In fact, the big clothing brands always embroider the garments with their emblem, no matter how small. So, if you want to give your brand exclusivity and prestige, embroidery is the best option.

Shine and relief : embroidery allows a great variety of shades thanks to the sense of the thread, whether it is done in festoon or tinted, etc.

Does not crack: the stamping has a tendency to crack; this never happens with Embroidery and Tailoring in UAE.
